Born on March 29th, 1985, in Roswell New Mexican. Gerina is the name given to her. of her. Gerina Stevenson was born to Mexican parents Rita Stevenson and Alan Stevenson. Stevenson is American and comes from a Mexican-American background. Since she was a child she's always been interested in participating in sport. Gerina began to play golf when she was 15 years old. Gerina went to Goddard High School. As a high school student, Gerina was the winner of in the New Mexico golf state tournament. She was a volleyball player and also competed in state competitions. Her first college was the University of Texas. As a senior she was a winner of every tournament that was entered. During her undergraduate career she was awarded Conference USA individual champion player of the year as well as UTEP Female Athlete of the Year.
