Young returned to Los Angeles where she landed parts such as Cathy Metsker, Mel Gibson Madeleine Stowe & Greg Kinnear's We Were Soldiers; and Rachel for JJ Abrams Mission Impossible: 3 starring Tom Cruise & Keri russe. In 2016 she starred in the film crime drama The Night Stalker directed by Megan Griffiths about the serial killer Richard Ramirez. In the following year, she played an supporting part in the comedy independent film Bernard and Huey opposite Jim Rash and David Koechner. In 2018, she appeared in Disney s live action adaptation to A Wrinkle in Time along with Oprah Winfrey Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling.
